About Us

“Our program is unique because it was designed by the same renowned experts who developed The Meadows Model. We fully integrate their model into our program, giving patients the foundation they need for continued recovery.”- Jim Corrington, Jr. The Meadows Director of Outpatient Services

The Meadows Outpatient Center provides intensive outpatient program (IOP) services to adults, ages 18 years and older. Patients who qualify for this level of care have completed any of The Meadows inpatient programs in Wickenburg, Arizona and require a stepped down level of care; or may have been informed during their intake screening that they qualify for the IOP program without having the need for a higher level of care. Every individual’s current issues and circumstances are taken into consideration to be sure they are offered the safest and most appropriate program for their clinical needs. The IOP program offers the benefit of The Meadows Model and the same high quality of care that exists on the main campuses.

Intensive Outpatient Program

The Meadows Outpatient Center treatment program entails group therapy four days per week, three hours per day, for eight weeks. In addition to group therapy, the outpatient center provides individual therapy with our Master’s level and licensed clinicians, and may consist of a combination of therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Somatic Experiencing (SE), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Neurofeedback, using the Brain Paint technology and led by our Master’s level and licensed trauma therapist, is offered in our on-site Brain Spa with a dedicated meditation room with recliners, soft lighting, and music. Trauma Sensitive Yoga, art therapy, and family participation are a routine part of the IOP group process.

Our Meadows psychiatrist is available on-site for weekly medication management, psychiatric evaluations, if needed, and program oversight. All medications must be approved by our staff psychiatrist. The Meadows Outpatient Program is a 12-step oriented program and subscribes to the model of total abstinence for all patients, meaning no addictive substances while participating in our programming, whether or not a patient acknowledges having a substance use disorder.
